SENIOR LINUX ENGINEER

| Your challenges?

• Offer specialized expertise in the field of operating systems engineering.
• Provide advanced technical support, serving as a point of escalation for IT incidents and service requests, collaborating with external entities such as manufacturers or vendors when required.
• Actively participate in the formulation of systems standards, policies, and procedures.
• Design, program, and adapt scripts in various scripting languages as needed.
• Thoroughly document engineering tasks, incident resolutions, and recurring issues, generating technical analyses, performance reports, and enhancement recommendations.
• Lead project teams and act as a valuable resource for team members.
• Strategically plan, implement, and execute maintenance activities, including upgrades, updates, and fixes for core operating systems and associated components, following industry best practices.
• Ensure the performance and reliability of systems by monitoring for high availability, load balancing, and satisfactory response times.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
• Adhere to ITIL standards and processes across Production, Dev, and UAT environments.
• Exhibit an open-minded approach, thinking creatively to resolve actual problems rather than just incidents. Demonstrate eagerness to identify and resolve root causes, implementing workarounds as needed.

| What do we expect from you?

• Substantial background in providing engineering support for enterprise-level configuration management.
• Proficient in the provisioning and decommissioning of VMs running Red Hat OS.
• Possess knowledge of LDAP protocol and systems, along with expertise in Red Hat Identity Management (IdM).
• Skilled in setting up application-specific servers to align with application requirements.
• Hands-on experience in the management of DNS and DHCP.
• Well-versed in Red Hat OS versions 7, 8, and 9.
• Experienced in the management of NFS/CIFS or SMB.
• Proficient in automation and scripting using Ansible, Bash, Ksh, etc.
• Familiarity with Red Hat Satellite.
• Hold at least one of the following vendor domain certifications: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
