MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER (FLANDERS)

As a mechanical project engineer we are looking for someone up to a challenging opportunity where you can have an impact on the research and development of new technologies. You will interact with other departments and divisions to maximize the potential of the new products we develop.

| Your challenges?

• Investigate the project feasibility in all aspects
• Define the correct technical concept in line with the specifications and requirements described in the marketing- & master specification
• Perform design calculations according to the best engineering practices and applicable standards
• Optimizing the cost and design of components in consultation with the suppliers (co-design)
• Making the necessary functional specifications for the different components
• Independently working out and following up the assigned (sub)projects belonging to the product development project.
• Reaching an acceptable baseline timing, product cost & budget with all stakeholders, and steering the execution of the project to achieve those baselines.
• Identify, monitor and manage project risks throughout the project duration.
• Work together with your team to finalize the product with excellent quality.
• Reporting progress to management.
• You gather and enrich the technical competence of the team and make sure to build up knowledge.
• Regarding the development of new technologies: you’ll join a team and are responsible for creating and managing a knowledge network with internal and external specialists.

| What do we expect from you?

• An Engineering degree in (electro-)mechanics
• You are fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch is an advantage;
• You are interested in technology and innovation
• You have an analytical approach and problem-solving mindset
• You are a teamplayer but are also able to work independently
• You are result-driven
• You are able to efficiently manage project timing and change rapidly between tasks depending on priorities
• You have strong communication skills and are able to build your network easily
• You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are self-motivated
• You are creative and innovative and able to think out of the box
