IT SERVICE DESK MANAGER
We are seeking a skilled IT Service Desk Manager position. You will be responsible for overseeing and leading the IT support operations within the IT Service Center. This role involves managing a dedicated team, ensuring efficient execution of IT Service Desk activities, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery

- Manage, plan, and lead the IT Service Desk team, providing clear instructions on planning, priorities, and deadlines.
- Ensure proper execution of IT Service Desk activities, adhering strictly to defined rules, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to IT Service Desk operations.
- Recommend compliant solutions for user software and hardware requests.
- Enhance the ITSM knowledge base for IT support processes and end-user support articles.
- Participate actively in IT Infrastructure management meetings to contribute to department vision, strategy, and budget preparation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and create relevant guidelines as needed.
- Achieve department objectives by managing, evaluating, and planning department activities.
- Recruit, select, orient, and train employees to maintain a competent team.
- Communicate job expectations, monitor performance, and provide coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions to staff.
- Develop, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, processes, and productivity standards.
- Evaluate and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, and output.
- Set objectives, evaluate trends and options, select a course of action, and assess outcomes.
- Prepare and maintain reports necessary for department functions and periodically report to management.
- Participate in defining financial objectives, forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
Required profile:
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent education.
- Proven experience in a similar managerial position.
- Exhibit strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate good prioritization abilities.
- Possess knowledge of modern office hardware, software, mobile data management, and emerging technologies.
- Apply a structured approach to analysis and documentation.
- Be accurate, detail-oriented, and reliable.
- Display customer orientation and serve as a role model.
- Have a solid understanding of the ITIL Framework.
- Be proficient in standard office applications.
- Possess excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and good skills in German or French.
- Have effective presentation skills.

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in development, mastery of C#, .NET 6+, and web technologies. You should also be comfortable with Agile methodologies and have a deep understanding of design patterns.
