Electrical Engineer

| YOUR CHALLENGES

• In this role, you'll be instrumental in establishing the electrical framework of our client's startup venture.
• Your main focus will revolve around identifying requisite resources, evaluating costs (inclusive of software and hardware), and crafting innovative strategies to procure these resources in a cost-efficient manner.
• You'll be laying down the groundwork for their electrical division, instilling best practices while ensuring your solutions and methodologies are scalable for future endeavors, encompassing larger projects such as grid integration initiatives and beyond.
• Your pivotal engineering task will entail designing an AC to DC converter tailored for optimal performance in renewable energy applications within oceanic environments.
• It's imperative that the converter not only aligns with but exceeds the power specifications necessary for powering small sensors and embedded devices.

| Responsibilities

• Resource Identification and Cost Assessment:

• Identify the software and hardware resources required for our client’s projects.
• Conduct thorough assessments to determine the costs associated with acquiring these resources.
• Business-Minded Approach:
• Develop and implement creative strategies to secure necessary resources within budgetary constraints.
• Collaborate with the management team to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Engineering Design:
• Design an AC to DC converter specifically tailored for renewable energy applications in ocean environments.
• Ensure that the converter meets the power requirements for powering small sensors and embedded devices.
• Project Management:
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets effectively.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of projects.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in electrical engineering technology and renewable energy solutions.
• Implement improvements and optimizations to enhance the efficiency and performance of our electrical systems.

| WHAT YOU BRING ALONG?

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 3-4 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in renewable energy or related industries.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze costs and devise creative resource acquisition strategies.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and tool such as Altium, EAGLE and Multisim
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with AC to DC conversion and strong knowledge in power electronics design.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
