E-POWERTRAIN APPLICATION SYSTEM ENGINEER (BEV, FCEV)
As an ePowertrain Application System Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of advanced electric powertrain systems for automotive applications (mainly BEV and FCEV). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of ePowertrain systems into vehicles, optimize performance, and enhance overall efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of electric vehicle technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation in the automotive industry. TMC is looking for several automotive competencies to reinforce his team. As an Automotive Engineer in our cross functional group, you will have the chance to work on the most trendy innovations and projects of this sector.
Some of the most complex challenges are:
- Integration Complexity: Overcoming the challenges associated with integrating complex ePowertrain systems into various vehicle platforms while ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously improving the efficiency, reliability, and performance of ePowertrain systems through innovative design solutions and rigorous testing methodologies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Staying abreast of evolving regulations and standards related to electric vehicle technology to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborating effectively with diverse teams including electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software development, and manufacturing to achieve seamless integration and alignment of ePowertrain systems.
- Emerging Technologies: Keeping up with advancements in ePowertrain technology such as battery technologies, electric motor design, and power electronics to drive innovation and maintain competitive edge.
| WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
- M. Sc or PhD in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience on HV components
- Different seniority will be considered for different specific roles
- Experience with requirements management
- Great knowledge of HV architecture, system and components
- Good knowledge of Electric/Hybrid vehicle architecture
It is not required compulsorily (nor is it limited to), but it is considered a plus:
- Knowledge of PLM tools
- Knowledge of requirements tracking tool like IBM DOORS, Polarion, Jira (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of safety critical standards
- Knowledge of RAMS and FMEA/FMECA Analysis
- Fluency in English is (absolutely) a must
- Willingness to travel or relocate
