DEVOPS ENGINEER – MILANO

We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in automating and enhancing our software development and deployment processes. | Purpose of The Role:

1. Automation: Develop and maintain automation processes for software deployment, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management. (Azure DevOps Pipelines)
2. CI/CD Implementation: Design, build, and manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle, ensuring rapid, tested and reliable releases. (Azure DevOps Pipelines, SonarQube)
3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Manage and evolve infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure components. (Terraform)
4. Monitoring and Logging: Configure and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify and address system issues.
5. Containerization: Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate container deployments. (Kubernetes, Rancher, K9S, Kustomize, Helm Charts, ...).
6. Collaboration: Foster collaboration and communication between development and operations teams to enhance and optimize software development and deployment processes.
7. Security Best Practices: Implement and maintain security best practices, including access control, vulnerability management, and compliance checks, to ensure the security of systems and data.
8. Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor system performance and make improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and resource utilization.
9. Disaster Recovery and Backup: Establish and test disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure data and system integrity, particularly in critical scenarios.
10. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing, onboarding, and compliance.

| What do we expect from you?

1. M. Sc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell), knowledge of configuration management tools, and experience with various DevOps tools and platforms.
3. Cloud Computing: Familiarity with Azure cloud platform, or others (AWS, Google Cloud).
4. Containerization: Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
5. CI/CD: Understanding of CI/CD principles and hands-on experience with CI/CD tools for building, testing and deploying software.
6. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in implementing IaC using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar.
7. Monitoring and Logging: Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools and best practices for system performance and issue detection.
8. Security: Awareness of security best practices and the ability to implement security measures in DevOps processes.
9. Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and facilitate project success.
10. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address technical issues quickly and efficiently.
11. Certifications: (nice to have) Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications.
12. Good command of Italian and English language.
13. Availability to travel and relocate for medium to long periods is a plus.
