Calculation Expert Engineer - Electrical Infrastructure

| Your challenges?

The Calculation Expert Engineer is responsible for the engineering of high voltage lines and pylons/structures used in electrical infrastructure projects (380, 220, 150, 70 and 36 kV).

• Be the support for the study and design of pylons and structures;
• Ensure the execution of specialized calculations, the establishment and monitoring of the study taking into account the required and available resources as well as customer questions;
• Be the support for suppliers and internal colleagues for the design of pylons and structures;
• Drafting of adjudication files and participation in the purchasing process;
• Delivery of the pylons and structures to the manufacturer or to the test environment;
• Coordination and monitoring detected problems during the execution in collaboration with the employees involved within the company as well as with suppliers, contractors, customers, etc. ;
• The reporting of these aspects to experts / managers / internal clients;
• Taking the necessary measures to optimize and implement calculation rules into the software tools.

The Expert Engineer will work within the Engineering department and participate in various projects relating to new high voltage pylons, modification of existing pylons, their repair, and structures.

| What do we expect from you?

• You have a master's degree in mechanical engineering or architecture.
• Any experience in the field of expertise and/or engineering is an asset.
• You have affinities with the studies of technical details.
• You have knowledge and experience in the design of steel structures.
• You use engineering software, 3D software, and finite element software.
• You are familiar with the relevant standards (eg Eurocodes).
• You have extensive knowledge of Office applications.
• Your mother tongue is French and/or Dutch and you have a good knowledge of the second national.
• You have a great sense of responsibility and have good organizational skills.
• Knowledge of TOWER, PLS-CADD, Tekla structures, and AUTOCAD is an asset.
