Automation Controls Engineer

TMC USA SE is seeking talented Automation Engineer (PLC/Controls Focused) based in Greer, SC and who will be supporting all our client sites in USA.

| YOUR CHALLENGES

• The Engineer will spend the majority of time in-house at our facility writing and updating existing PLC and Robotics code supporting our clients in-house Testing & Controls team and performing factory acceptance testing on new systems.
• Program PLC, HMI, vision, robotic and other automated systems.
• Ensure controls for all new equipment meet company and legal standards.
• Ensure all data collection systems are in place and functioning properly.
• Design and run experiments on PLC, HMI and touch screen systems on die cast manufacturing equipment.
• Test, troubleshoot and debug and new HMI updates prior to customer installation.
• Manage PLC and touch panel backups on the server.
• Travel to clients Tier 1 sites for repairs and equipment installation occasionally.

| WHAT YOU BRING ALONG?

• Proficient with the installation and support of PC hardware and software.
• Working knowledge of PLC’s, HMI systems, networking and data acquisition systems.
• Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Minitab, Access, Visio.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
